Highlights
- PGDIT course is structured as equivalent
to a Masters in advanced Information Technology.
- The 1-year PGDIT course is a technology
course, strong on advanced Fundamentals of IT. It
comprises both of theory and practice, with a more practical, application
oriented approach.
- Students to have direct contact of 45
hours per week, working 6 days/week.
- Case studies, technical seminars and
hands-on sessions are the highlights of the course, supported by guest
speakers and other interfaces with experts.Through seminars, workshops
and talks students get exposure to the latest trends in technology,

Learning Process
The
endeavor is on practice as well as theory such that students will gain
practical knowledge and experience in solving real-life business problems.
Based on the needs of each subject/capsule, appropriate pedagogy-mix is
used, consisting of
- classroom lectures/training
- case studies, lab assignments and projects
- theme-paper writing and case material
preparation
- IT packages
to gain hands-on exposure. Individual
communication, inter-personal skills and soft-skills are developed through
workshops by industry-experts.
Evaluation
System
We have a system of continuous evaluation
for students. It ensures that students are evaluated on all aspects of knowledge
through the CGPA system. The percentage weight-age is as follows:
- 40% for continuous internal evaluation
- 60% for term end exams including projects and assignments
Eligibility
1)B.E.
/ B. Sc. / BCS with minimum 50% aggregate.
2)Those
appearing for the final examination in April / May 2007 can also apply;admission
of such candidates will be provisional, subject to their meeting all the
criteria before December 2007.

Getting Admission
Step 1:
You need to buy the Prospectus-cum-Application Form
by sending DD for Rs. 700/- in favour of PICT-SITM payable at Pune.

Step 2 : Complete
the application form and send it to us, for further processing .
Step 3 : Written
test.
You can appear for a paper/pencil test on a fixed date &
time at any of our specified test centres.
Step 4: Technical Interview.
Technical interview for short listed students will be conducted at the institute
campus in Pune only.
Step 5:
Selection/Final Admission.
Admission to all programs is strictly on the basis of merit/performance
in written test,technical Interview. Students will be informed about their final selection
by registered post. Those appearing for the final examination in April-May
2007 can also apply.
